Kevin Hagan

Director of Federal Legislative Affairs

Kevin Hagan currently serves as Director of Federal Legislative Affairs. In this role, Kevin works with congressional staff members and other stakeholders on developing legislative proposals and advocating for sentencing and prison reform.

Prior to joining FAMM, Kevin served as Federal Relations Counsel for the American Association for Justice. In this role, Kevin provided counsel to trial lawyers across the country on policy and civil litigation matters and advocated on behalf of pro-civil justice legislation.

Kevin began his career as a program manager in the Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development for the City New Orleans. Having served two mayoral administrations, Kevin managed the implementation of a federally funded green infrastructure training program as well as the City’s local hiring and living wage initiatives. He is also a former White House and Congressional Black Caucus Foundation intern.

Kevin is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. In addition to his BA from Dillard University, he received his MPA from Louisiana State University and his JD from Loyola University of New Orleans College of Law.
