Join FAMM for our Pennsylvanians for Probation Reform Advocacy Day, September 24!
Pennsylvania has more than 300,000 people on probation or parole. Lengthy probation sentences keep people on supervision long past the point at which they are likely to reoffend. People on probation can be sent back to jail or prison for lengthy periods even for technical violations (like missing a meeting with a probation officer), which hurts families and public safety. Two probation reform bills, HB 1555 and SB 14, are gaining traction in the state legislature. Join us on September 24 in Harrisburg to tell lawmakers to reform probation this year!
