FAMM congratulates Molly Gill, Vice President of Policy on new role at Federal Bureau of Prisons

Deputy Director of Policy Daniel Landsman to be promoted to Vice President

WASHINGTON – FAMM today announced that Molly Gill will be leaving FAMM on October 25, to become an attorney advisor in the Office of Legislative Affairs of the federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP).

“Molly has been an integral part of our team for the better part of two decades, and for many of us at FAMM, she has also been an inspiring leader and friend,” interim FAMM President Roxana Rincones said. “While we will miss having her be a part of our team, we are excited for her next chapter and look forward to watching her accomplish great things in her future endeavors.

“We are also grateful to have such a capable candidate to assume the role of Vice President in Daniel Landsman, who has been a dedicated member of our policy team for more than four years, and will be a great advocate for the families we serve.”

For 16 years, Gill has been an integral part of FAMM’s advocacy and legislative work, serving in a number of roles before serving as Vice President of Policy for 6 years.

“Working at FAMM to reform sentencing and prison policies for incarcerated people and their families has been the gift of a lifetime for me,” Gill said. “In my new role, I’ll be working with members of Congress to ensure that they have the information they need to help their constituents with loved ones in prison. There is a lot of opportunity and desire to improve things, and I am excited to be a part of it.”

Landsman has been promoted to Vice President after serving as Deputy Director of Policy since 2021, and having been with FAMM since 2017.

“I love being a part of FAMM – nothing compares to working with and on behalf of our FAMMily,” Landsman said. “I am proud to be the vice president of policy for an organization so dedicated to fighting for families and incarcerated people, and can’t wait to help lead the charge for them.”

For more than three decades, FAMM has united the voices of affected families, the formerly incarcerated, and a range of stakeholders and advocates to fight for a more fair and effective justice system. FAMM has led the fight to reform extreme mandatory sentencing laws and to promote rehabilitation and dignity for all people in prison, 94 percent of whom will return to our neighborhoods one day.
