Announcing FAMM’s New Director of Federal Legislative Affairs
WASHINGTON – FAMM President Kevin Ring announced today that Daniel Landsman has become the organization’s new director of federal legislative affairs. Landsman previously served as the group’s deputy director of policy.
“Daniel has become a valuable and trusted member of our team, and we are excited to have him take on this important role,” Ring said.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to focus my attention on advocating for a more individualized, fair, and humane federal justice system. It is an honor to work on behalf of the families who have been impacted by our broken system,” Landsman said.
Prior to joining FAMM, Landsman worked on reforming America’s drug laws and ending life without parole for youth. He has a master’s degree in public policy from George Washington University’s Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration and was a 2017 Justice Policy Network Fellow.
FAMM is a nonpartisan, national advocacy organization that promotes fair and effective criminal justice reforms to make our communities safe. Founded in 1991, FAMM promotes change by raising the voices of families and individuals who are directly affected by counterproductive sentencing and prison policies.
