Twenty Three - FAMM

Twenty Three

Twenty three i was only twenty three
How can they lock up a kid who’s only twenty three
and throw away the key?
Only twenty three
Take a look at what the feds done to me
From selling keys,
just to get out of poverty
Took me away from society
not knowing the next time i will see my family
Only twenty three how can the judge sentence a child to twenty?
Lost in the system trying not to lose my sanity.
In a place where no one stands for unity.
Only twenty three how was i a danger to my community?
Now thirty three with hopes that the president will grant my clemency.
At twenty three i had my whole life ahead of me,
So much life wasted for a drug that’s sold in the pharmacy.
i was only twenty three.
