Federal Project

FAMM’s Federal Project strives to restore fair and individualized punishment to our federal sentencing system. Our efforts to reform federal mandatory minimum sentencing laws happen in four primary arenas:

  • U.S. Congress — changing federal sentencing laws
    • Look in this section for current bills FAMM supports and opposes
  • U.S. Sentencing Commission — changing federal sentencing guidelines
    • Look in this section for current changes to guidelines that FAMM supports or opposes
  • U.S. Department of Justice — changing federal prosecution and prison policies
    • Look in this section for information about changes to BOP or DOJ policies that FAMM supports or opposes
  • U.S. Supreme Court — changing sentencing through litigation in the highest court
