Why do you care about mandatory sentencing reform? Tell us by uploading a short video and help educate lawmakers and countless individuals about the high cost and ineffectiveness of one-size-fits-all sentencing policies. Click here to watch Why I Care videos.

Upload your video to YouTube following the submission guidelines below. Then fill out the form below and include your YouTube link in the comments box. We'll review your submission and post many videos on FAMM's You Tube channel.

Submission Guidelines

  • Keep it short.
    Please submit only one video under three minutes in length.
  • YouTube/Google Account.
    In order to upload your video, you must have a valid YouTube account. Click here to create a YouTube account.
  • Clear sound is very important.
    Bad sound can ruin your video. If no one can hear it, no one will watch it. Make sure to record your video in a quiet environment, and speak slowly and clearly while looking directly at the camera.
  • Don't backlight.
    Don't sit in front of a bright window and make sure any light source is in front of you.
  • Title and tag your video. Use the title "Why I Care" and include your name and location - ex: "Why I Care: Julie Stewart in Washington, D.C." Use tags to describe your video so that other people can find it "FAMM supporter" or "formerly incarcerated person", "brother of federal prisoner," etc.
  • Please don't use our logo
    Please don't use our logo in your video.
