Multimedia Producer and Editor

FAMM is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that advocates for fair and individualized sentencing and prison policies that are just and cost-effective, protect public safety, and strengthen families.

FAMM is seeking a talented Multimedia Producer and Editor to join our video production team. We are looking for someone to create compelling video content ranging from short documentary-style stories to informational/explainer videos. The Multimedia Producer and Editor should have experience creating content that takes complicated topics and makes them understandable to new audiences. Reporting to the Director of Communications, great candidates should have a strong video production and editing background.

What You Get To Do:

  • Serve as the primary producer for FAMM video content

  • Develop, pitch, produce and edit creative video content that educates, informs and empowers FAMM constituents to become advocates for prisoners and their families who are affected by bad prison and sentencing policies.

  • Serve as secondary editor on video projects

  • Develop and implement new concepts for live-streamed events

What We Need In You:

  • 4+ years of experience as a video producer with outstanding digital storytelling skills as well as the ability to coordinate and conduct interviews

  • 4+ years of scriptwriting experience including scripts for traditional storytelling videos, informational videos, and explainer videos

  • 2+ years of video editing experience

  • Must have experience with developing and producing live-streamed content (i.e. interviews via Facebook live)

  • Must be proficient in Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Audition and Photoshop.

  • Experience with the distribution video content on the web is a plus.
