Drug Offenders Constitute Half of Federal Prisoners: A Chart

Take a look at this stunning chart released by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) illustrating just how many nonviolent drug offenders are incarcerated in our federal prisons (h/t Huffington Post and Colorlines). In case you didn’t notice, that turquoise bar eclipsing all others in the chart represents drug offenders. Check out the data here.
